Our customers approached Proworx South West after purchasing a property with an ageing, cold and damp conservatory. Being open-plan to the house, it was difficult to regulate temperatures, becoming too hot in summer and allowing valuable heat to escape during winter.

The previous owners had attempted to improve the conservatory with a clad-over roof system, but this had failed to deliver the insulation and performance needed.

We installed a fully insulated Ultraframe Livinroof, transforming the conservatory into a comfortable, energy-efficient living space suitable for year-round use. We also replaced the original 20-year-old uPVC frames with modern A-rated windows and installed stunning aluminium bifolding doors, opening up the room to the garden and its beautiful views.

This wasn’t a straightforward roof replacement. The original roof featured a leaking box gutter, so we redesigned the structure with a new hipped lean-to roof. This involved alterations to the property’s gable end, where we installed additional A-rated windows and contemporary Cladco fibre cement cladding.

The result is a complete transformation of both the conservatory and the rear of the property. What was once a cold, damp and inefficient space is now a beautiful, comfortable room that can be enjoyed throughout the year, with a stunning new exterior to match.
