Ultraframe Ultraroof Sun Room Extension, Chudleigh Knighton

Our customers in Chudleigh Knighton wanted a bright, welcoming sunroom overlooking their west-facing garden. However, they preferred a solid roof rather than a traditional glass roof, ensuring the space could be enjoyed comfortably all year round.

We designed and installed a beautiful gable-fronted extension featuring the Ultraframe UltraRoof system. The highly insulated roof provides welcome shade during the midday sun, while the large glazed gable allows natural light to flood the room throughout the afternoon and evening.

As the property was a new build without permitted development rights, full planning permission was required. Additional restrictions relating to protected bats and light spill presented challenges, but with Dan’s experience working alongside local planning authorities, we successfully secured approval.

Our team completed the entire project, from groundworks and foundations through to the finished extension. We also installed new internal doors that open a full 180 degrees, sitting flush against the walls to create a seamless connection between the existing home and the new sunroom.

The result is a beautifully designed, light-filled living space that combines the comfort of a highly insulated roof with stunning views of the garden, creating the perfect room to enjoy throughout the seasons!
